Chinese Kuoshu
Institute News - September 2005

The Chinese Kuoshu Institute (CKI) has formally relocated to
Denbigh High School and
Specialist Sports College, Alexandra Avenue, Luton, Bedfordshire LU3 1HE.
The CKI have established a base of operations within a
specialist sports environment, near the town centre. The CKI's reputation as
one of the most prestigious schools in the country, for Chinese martial
arts, will enhance the opportunities to undertake specialist sports.
This opportunity will also allow
the CKI to continue to benefit the communities in the heart of Luton,
working with the One Community Project, CYCD, the University of Luton, and,
of course, Denbigh High School. The CKI's objective is to help students to realise
and achieve their
potential; and develop them from foundation to excellence, in Chinese martial
arts.

How to get to
Denbigh: |

Denbigh is
approximately 15-20 minutes walk from the centre of Luton. The journey time
is indicated in square brackets: |

From the University
of Luton (Park Street Campus) walk to the Luton Arndale Centre
front exit (St George Square Exit - opposite the Galaxy Centre) [5 minutes].
From the Luton Arndale Centre walk towards the Railway Station.
You will arrive on Mill Street [2 minutes]. Station Road and
Midland Road will be on your right hand side continue your journey to the
left onto New Bedford Road [1 minute]. Alexandra Avenue is the
fifth turning on your left opposite Wardown Park [8 minutes]. Denbigh
High School is located on the left [2 minutes]. You have arrived: enter
the main gates and walk towards the Main Building; for the Sports Hall and
Studio turn left; and for the Gymnasium turn right. |
